Testing for the new space beer is set to begin in November on board Zero Gravity Corporation’s modified Boeing aircraft, which conducts a series of parabolic arcs that simulates an environment of weightlessness. Astronauts4Hire, a non-profit space research corporation, will conduct the tests on an Australian beer that has been brewed specifically for easy drinking in both microgravity environments, as well as here on Earth. When you feel down, focus on them, visualize them and think about how great it will be once you have completed them.

• Reward Yourself for Finishing Tasks
This is a great technique. Whenever you finish a task or complete a goal, give yourself a reward.
It can be a cup of coffee, a 10 minute break, a weekend away…. Anything that gets you motivated.
By doing this you train yourself to want to complete the goals and tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible, you will work hard to complete your goals, get the reward and move on the next. Always remember though, make sure you do the job well, you don’t want to have to go back and redo the task you already thought was finished.

• Take a Short Walk
Sometimes you need a break, to clear your mind and get yourself back on track. Taking a walk is a great way to sort your thoughts and refocus.

• Remember That When You Are Done, You Are Done
By this I mean that once you have done everything you need to do during the day, you are finished and can go home. That gives me a burst of motivation every time the day starts to feel long, it is up to me to make it go quickly so I can relax.

• Call a Loved One for Inspiration
Sometimes we cannot do it alone. Make sure to find a friend or loved one who can help you when you need motivation, who you can call and who you know will tell you that you can do it and that they know you are great.

That help really makes a big difference.

Pantry Spa Party? I like the sound of that!

For years, spas and salons have been pampering clients with masques, facials and scrubs made with the same food items you have in your pantry and refrigerator.
Don't despair if you can't afford the trip to the spa. Your skin won't suffer if you use the recipes below to retexturize, moisturize and renew your skin. At-home facials are easy. No matter how long it's been since your skin was given first-class treatment, you will benefit from all three recipes.
To prepare for these skin treatments, thoroughly wash your face, neck and decollete. The recipes contain fresh ingredients, so leftovers should be refrigerated and used or thrown out within 48 hours.
When using any new, especially natural, skin treatment, test a little of it on a small patch of skin. If there's no adverse reaction, try it once or twice a week for three weeks to see it makes your skin feel.
Some minor skin eruptions are normal after the first and second treatments as the natural ingredients draw toxins from the skin. This is only temporary, and any eruptions should be small. However, if you think you may be allergic to any ingredients or develop a rash, do not try the masque again.

Pumpkin Masque
A version of the pumpkin masque is showing up on store shelves and on salon menus. Why is it so popular? It could be the yummy pumpkin pie scent, but it's most likely what pumpkin contains. Pumpkin is overflowing with vitamins A and C, along with beta-carotene. The following masque will smell so yummy you might have to fight the temptation to eat it:
• 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon safflower oil
• 1 egg yolk
Mix ingredients in a small bowl. Massage mixture over your face, avoiding the eyes. Lay back, and let the pumpkin soften and rejuvenate your skin for twenty minutes before washing it off with cool water. Makes one masque.

Avocado Masque
The avocado is a blessing for dry skin, whether you suffer from it year-round or have problems with "winter skin." Avocado softens and renews dry skin and includes vitamins A, C, and E, iron, potassium and niacin. Any avocado provides a skin-coating smoothing, but avocados from California, with its higher oil content, are the best for masques. Sea salt softens skin; yogurt not only creates a smooth, cooling texture for the masque, but it also holds in the skin's moisture.
• 1 cup (approximately) very ripe avocado, mashed
• 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
• 1/4 cup plain yogurt
Mix ingredients into a smooth, cool, light green masque. Slather it on your face, neck and decollete. Relax on your back so the masque doesn't drip. While you're renewing your dry skin, take two slices of avocado and place one on the skin under each eye to reduce puffiness. Leave the masque on 20 minutes, and then wash it off with cool water.

Honey-Oatmeal Masque/Scrub
Honey's antiseptic properties make it a natural to keep faces free from bacteria, and oatmeal provides gentle exfoliation. Leave the mask on for five to ten minutes, and then rub, allowing oatmeal to help remove dead skin. Rinse with tepid water. This is a wonderful lift for all skin types.
• 1/4 cup quick-cooking oats, finely ground in blender
• 1/4 cup honey
Mix oats and honey into a paste. It will be sticky, so keep your hair away from the masque. Smooth it on your face, neck and chest. Lay down to avoid the masque dripping on your clothes. You will benefit from this recipe immediately if you use it solely as a scrub and wash it off right away. You may also leave the masque on for five to ten minutes. Don't worry, it washes off easily, leaving skin soft and feeling new.

Here are some links for other cool pantry spa recipes!

http://www.life123.com/beauty/spa-treatments/facials/how-to-make-a-yogurt-facial-mask.shtml

http://www.life123.com/beauty/spa-treatments/beauty-tips/homemade-makeup-remover-using-powdered-milk.shtml

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://lnh-katesblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/pantry-spa-party-i-like-sound-of-that.html' title='Pantry Spa Party? That should be a new reality show! LOL!

Finding a job in a recession is difficult, but the jobs are out there. You just have to know where to look, and for some jobs, be willing to think outside the box. WalletPop.com has compiled a list of weird jobs that pay well:

Shot girl: Shot girls make between $300 and $600 a night. They’re paid 25 cents for every shot they sell at the bar, with the rest coming from tips, which vary between $1 and $20 per round.
Submarine cook:In Australia, a senior submarine cook with more than six years of experience earns $200,000 (about $187,000 U.S.) per year, the same as a junior admiral. The base pay is $58,806 per year, but the bonuses include a capability bonus of $40,000, seagoing allowance of $22,254, submarine service allowance of $26,703, and a bonus of $50,000 a year just for showing up for work, because the job is listed as “critical to the navy.”
Macau junket operator: If you can convince millionaires to travel to the Chinese city of Macau to gamble at a casino, you could earn 1.2% or more of whatever the high-rollers gamble. Baccarat pays a 2.7% commission. That could add up to $5,000 per month.
Pearl diver: It’s a dangerous occupation, but diving for pearls in Australia pays well. Alexander Alcantare spotted the reptile Sunday in a canal behind his Miami home with an arrow lodged in its head. He attempted to drag the gator to shore to see if someone could remove the arrow. The alligator bit Alcantare on the arm on the way to shore, but it didn’t stop him from bringing the reptile to a secure location. However, wildlife officials responded to Alcantare’s call and informed him the animal would be euthanized due to its size and because it bit a human. Alcantare was also issued a ticket for illegally catching an alligator. I can just hear the guy now... "but I wasn't trying to CATCH it!" LOL!

Here's proof crime doesn't pay! A Long Island man faces charges of impersonation after a driver he pulled over for a traffice stop turned out to be a police detective! LOL! Sufflok County Police said 35-year-old Victor Alfaro-Marques of Selden was arrested hours after the attempted traffic stop. Dectective William Zambito was driving home from work at about 4:30AM when an unmarked car with flasing lights and sirens stopped him. When Zambito told Alfaro-Marquez he was an off-duty officer, the impersonator fled the scene! He was later arrested at his home. Police recovered two badges, handcuffs, a pellet pistol and a Drug Enforcement Agency baseball hat and shirt!!

Ok So this guy had bad luck in his endeavor! Now this brings me to a more serious concern! In a day & age where we have police impersonators commiting home invasions and fake traffic stops I heard there may be more unmarked cars made and not just crown vics and what not but all kinds to help catch speeders. I think this is a BAD idea! I just think unmarked cars for traffic stop allow it to be easy to impersonate...

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://lnh-katesblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/proof-crime-doesnt-pay-lol.html' title='PROOF Crime doesn't pay! Or why at work they are usually at an intersection of a busy hallway? Whose idea what THAT? You are in a tiny room to do your business and you can hear every single thing happening outside the door that's less than three feet from your face. So you know what that means? If you can hear them...THEY can hear YOU! Now I am not saying that I am a one person orchestra or anything like that but I'd rather have the peace knowing that it wasn't possible to know what is going on behind that closed door! Now, while we are on the subject of bathrooms I'd also like to ask why does the AC work best in there? Who likes the idea of FROZEN toilet seats?!?!?! I sweat my self stupid in my office but off to the bathroom I go and it's minus 20 in there! I tell you it just makes NO SENSE!

Moving

I hate moving. I haven't had to do it for quite some time. I guess the moving part is easy it's just the packing that's tedious. You never really realize how much stuff you have until you have to fit it into an unknown amount of boxes. I feel like I have too many boxes and things around the house don't seem to be reducing at any rate. I also never realized how many pictures I have up on the walls. It seems like all the boxes I have packed are just pictures sheesh will I ever make it to the meat of the project????? What am I supposed to do with the really big ones that don't seem to fit into any box? Maybe I should give up blogging and take up ranting... is that what I am doing? I am never sure. I know that I have no followers yet so this is more of that theraputic journaling I have read so much about. It's funny because I think all the time in my head ooh I should blog about that, yeah, that would be interesting but by the time I hit the computer it's gone. I can't seem to stay on one subject for long anyway. My life is so full right now with work, graduations, birthdays, work, packing, moving preparation other than packing, work, Kristophers last day of school is fast approaching, all the things I want to do in the yard at the new house and WORK. Well I think I have emptied my head for the moment. I apologize if someone actually reads this one and hope for more interesting content tomorrow or sometime really. I think I might spend some time tomorrow on kids and the things they do.

Why can't I catch you TIME!?!?!

All I want to do is post some fun and witty life changing blogs LOL. but I never have more than a minute just enough time to blog about why I can't blog...
